THE ELECTORAL COMMISSION: Casual election to elect a member of parliament in the tenth electoral district

Casual election in the tenth electoral district to elect a member of parliament following Robert Arrigo’s death.   The Electoral Commission notifies that no candidatures were received on the second day allowed for nominations for a casual election for a member of Parliament.   Counting of votes of this casual election shall take place at the Counting Hall, Naxxar, on Friday 28th October 2022, from 9.00am onwards.     Source: Office of the Prime Minister

Salman Rushdie lost sight in one eye and the use of one hand following an attack on stage at a literary event in western New York in August, his agent said. Climate Protesters Throw Mashed Potatoes at Monet Painting

Climate protesters threw mashed potatoes at a Claude Monet painting in a German museum to protest fossil fuel extraction Sunday but caused no damage to the artwork.
