Malta’s Permanent Representative to the European Union, Marlene Bonnici, chaired the 2624th meeting of the Permanent Representatives Committee Part II, also known as COREPER II.

In addition to approving ‘I’ items which are mostly issues that were agreed to at the Council’s technical Working Party level (see attached agenda), today’s meeting discussed the following:

– Preparation of the Council meeting (General Affairs) on 25 April 2017

a) Modification of the Common Provisions Regulation (Regulation (EU) No 1303/2013)

b) Bringing Cohesion Policy closer to our citizens

? Adoption of Council conclusions on “Making Cohesion Policy more effective, relevant and visible to our citizens”
