2626TH MEETING OF THE COMMITTEE OF PERMANENT REPRESENTATIVES PART I (DEPUTIES)

Malta’s Deputy Permanent Representative, Neil Kerr, chaired the 2626th meeting of the Permanent Representatives Committee Part I (Deputies), also known as COREPER I.

In addition to approving ‘I’ items, which are mostly issues that were agreed to at the Council’s technical Working Party level (see attached agenda), today’s meeting discussed the following:

– Proposal for a Regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council on the sustainable management of external fishing fleets, repealing Council Regulation (EC) No 1006/2008 (First reading) (Legislative deliberation)

– Setting of the provisional agenda for the Council meeting (Education, Youth, Culture and Sport) on 22 and 23 May 2017
