THE MINISTRY FOR ENERGY, ENTERPRISE AND SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT: The first edition of Christmas in the Park launched

Parks Malta will be organising the first edition of Christmas in the Park at the Marsaskala Family Park. The park will be turned into a Christmas Village, welcoming adults and children to enjoy Christmas in the Park with a difference.

The event will run during the last three weeks of December, with various activities being prepared for people of all ages, including musical entertainment and artisanal products.

This was announced by Minister for Energy, Enterprise and Sustainable Development Miriam Dalli.

The preparations will transform the Park into a Christmas Village, with the aim of creating different zones for games, music and entertainment, food stalls and other activities related to the Christmas period.

Amongst the main attractions, a crib and a traditional Christmas tree will be set up. Visitors will have the opportunity to meet with various personalities and enjoy live music and local products from local artists.

Minister Miriam Dalli also explained that Christmas decorations, which will be created by Parks Malta workers, will be sold with the proceeds going towards a donation that will be given to Istrina.

“During the various valley clean-ups and maintenance works that Parks Malta employees do, tree branches gathered were put aside to be used to make Christmas ornaments. Carpenters will be transforming these branches into decorative Christmas trees and people will have the opportunity to personalise them as well. Donations collected will be given to Istrina,” Miriam Dalli said.

The public is encouraged to attend Christmas in the Park and enjoy the festivities in this open space. The Christmas village will be open daily between 5 p.m. and 11.30 p.m., from the 17th of December until the 30th of December. The village will also be open on the 12th and 13th December.

Permanent Secretary Anthony Gatt and Parks Malta General Director Adrian Attard also attended the launch.
