THE MINISTRY FOR FOREIGN AND EUROPEAN AFFAIRS AND TRADE Minister Ian Borg with a visit to the International Institute of Justice and the Rule of Law

Minister for Foreign and European Affairs and Trade Ian Borg paid a courtesy visit to the Executive Secretary and the employees of the International Institute of Justice and the Rule of Law, which is based in our country.

In a meeting with the new Executive Secretary Steven Hill, Minister Ian Borg spoke about the collaboration that the Maltese Government wishes to have with this Institute, even as a non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council, particularly in areas of interest to both parties. Here, Minister Borg recalled the important work that the Maltese Government has been doing for the past three years, in particular when it comes to constitutional reforms and those in the justice sector.

Executive Secretary Steven Hill thanked Minister Borg for this visit and claimed that it is an honour for the Institute that for the first time, a minister for foreign affairs had the opportunity to see closely the work being done. He claimed that he looks forward to the work that will be carried out in the coming weeks and months.
