THE MINISTRY FOR TRANSPORT, INFRASTRUCTURE AND CAPITAL PROJECTS: Minister Ian Borg inaugurates embellishment works done at Mtarfa Scouts

During a visit to Mtarfa, Minister for Transport, Infrastructure and Capital Projects Ian Borg inaugurated the embellishment works carried out by the Public Works Department and Infrastructure Malta at the Mtarfa Scouts headquarters.

Minister Ian Borg stressed the importance of these associations which are spaces that offer both recreational and educational purposes for youths. He said that it, therefore, is more than appropriate to provide them with the best possible environment and safety.

“As we have done in other interventions including renovation works for the Zebbug Scouts Group headquarters and for those in Had Dingli, today we are inaugurating work that has been done for the scouts group of Mtarfa. But even more, this is an investment in the Mtarfa community. This government is keeping its word and remains committed to investing in the communities. Works in our communities are clearly seen in the various initiatives we are taking, from every project being carried out by the Public Works department to all the investments and projects by Infrastructure Malta across the country. Therefore we remain committed to making a positive difference in favour of a better quality of life for all Maltese and Gozitans”, said Minister Ian Borg.

As part of this project, a number of olive trees and a considerable amount of shrubs, given by Infrastructure Malta, were planted in the yard and in the camping area.

Works carried out include the replacement of exterior lighting, renovation of a shower, new tiles, plumbing work, water culverts, installation of new photovoltaic panels, and aluminium work.
