The President of Malta George Vella and Mrs Miriam Vella left Malta this evening to visit Maltese patients receiving treatment in London and their relatives.
Accompanied by Mr John Huber, Chairman of the Board of Administrators of The Malta Community Chest Fund (MCCF), the President and Mrs Vella will be also visiting several hospitals where Maltese patients are admitted for treatment and will meet doctors and consultants treating these patients.
In London, they also have a meeting with the Franciscan and Augustinian Sisters hosting some of the Maltese patients.
While President Vella is in London, Professor Frank Bezzina will serve as Acting President of Malta. The Maltese delegation is expected to return on Wednesday.
