Addis Ababa: The Africa Urban Forum participants have visited Ethiopia’s gaining new tourist attraction sites, Friendship and Unity Parks in Addis Ababa today.
Addis Ababa has been convening the First Africa Urban Forum for three days where participants including high ranking officials are drawn from across the continent.
The visit has been instrumental to showcase the critical role public spaces play in transforming the city thereby fostering inclusive and vibrant communities.
The participants emphasized that such parks are essential for building cohesive urban environments across Africa.
The groundbreaking forum is being held under the theme ‘Sustainable Urbanization for Africa’s Transformation: Agenda 2063,’ aimed at addressing the challenges and opportunities of urban development in Africa.
