A “special” delegation from the American Congress in Niamey


A delegation from the U.S. Congress led by Rep. Austin Scott (R-GA) of the House Armed Services Committee and including members of the House Select Committee on Intelligence in Niger, visited Niamey, the Niger Press Agency reported Saturday evening.

“The U.S. Embassy in Niamey hosted a bipartisan U.S. Congressional delegation led by Rep. Austin Scott (R-GA) of the House Armed Services Committee and the House Select Committee on Intelligence in Niger,” ANP notes.

Rep. Jimmy Panetta (D-CA) of the House Armed Services Committee and the House Means and Ways Committee and Rep. Ronny Jackson (R-TX) of the House Armed Services Committee and the House Select Committee on Intelligence were part of the delegation, the same source specifies.

According to the Niger Press Agency, during its visit from September 4 to 5, the Congress delegation met with officials of the Niger government to strengthen the partnership between our two countries.
