On International Women’s Day, the Central Bank Governor, Professor Edward Scicluna, hosted a special informal meetup with the Bank’s female members.
During the event, the staff members were able to network, share ideas and experiences. This event was meant to confirm the Bank’s recognition of the valuable role that women play in central banking.
The Governor stressed the importance of having a diverse and inclusive workplace. He stated that “while we have come a long way when it comes to gender balance at the workplace there is still more to be done. Women bring unique perspectives and experiences to the decision table, and this is something we must value and promote.”
