With reference to PR220442 and PR220445 published on 7th April 2022, the Environmental Health Directorate within the Superintdence of Public Health wishes to inform the public that, following market surveillance, it transpired that although the main trader in Malta imports the brand from the Italian manufacturing plant and not from Belgium where the alleged contamination took place, on the market there is chocolate which is also made in Belgium.
In view of the above, the Directorate is updating the notices issued with the following products due to the possibility of Salmonella contamination.
