Etosha Secondary School learner wins Children’s Advocate logo competition

Seventeen-year-old Hilja Kwedhi from Etosha Secondary School was named the winner of the recently concluded Children’s Advocate logo design competition of the Office of the Ombudsman.

Spokesperson in the Office of the Ombudsman, Aurelia David in a media statement on Tuesday said Kwedhi’s design was unveiled as the official logo of the Children’s Advocate at an event held in Windhoek recently.

“The logo depicts a figure embracing two smaller figures, in a protective manner. The new logo will be used on educational and promotional material of the Children’s Advocate,” David said.

The purpose of the competition was to create a brand identity for the Children’s Advocate that children can relate to.

Meanwhile, Kwedhi in the statement said she was inspired to create an image that embodied warmth and protection, but is also appealing to every Namibian child and at the same time represents what the office stands for, which is the protection of children’s rights.
