European Union (EU) has today officially launched a 650 million euros multisector support program for Ethiopia.
EU Commissioner for International Partnership, Jutta Urpilainen and Ethiopia’s Minister of Finance, Ahmed Shide signed the support framework in in the presence of Ambassadors from EU members based in Addis Ababa.
The program will be implemented in Ethiopia from 2024 to 2027, it was indicated.
During the occasion, the Commissioner said the launch of the program demonstrates the commitment of EU to support Ethiopia as it is carried out following the peace agreement.
EU Commissioner for International Partnership, Jutta Urpilainen is in Addis Ababa for an official working visit to Ethiopia.
During her discussion with Finance Minister Ahmed Shide today the commissioner said Ethiopia is a strategic partner for the European Union.
