The populations of Dano participated in cleaning the gutters on Saturday August 10, 2024 for the 4th time, at the call of the president of the special delegation (PDS) of the said municipality.
The president of the special delegation (PDS) of the commune of Dano, Denis Zanré, organized a sanitation and gutters cleaning campaign in the town of Dano.
Since July 13, 2024, residents of the town of Dano have mobilized four consecutive Saturdays to clean the gutters and collect the earth that was blocking them.
Dump trucks, tractors and motorcycle tricycles transported garbage and soil to dumping sites.
The high commissioner of the Ioba province, Bernadette Adenyo, née Sermé, and all the bodies actively participated in this sanitation operation, initiated by the special municipal delegation of Dano.
The PDS of the commune of Dano, Denis Zanré, welcomed the remarkable mobilization of young people and especially women, who remained constant in their commitment.
According to him, this campaign is part of the pre
sidential initiative for community development.
He thanked the provincial authorities for their effective participation, as well as economic operators for their support.
For the first manager of the Ioba province, Bernadette Adenyo / Sermé, this activity is part of the preventive measures to avoid possible floods.
Similar operations must take place in the other municipalities of Ioba, to support the implementation of the emergency organization plan (ORSEC) in each constituency, she specified.
Ms. Adenyo urged residents of at-risk areas to take measures to avoid material damage and especially loss of life caused by the heavy rains forecast for this year.
During this sanitation campaign, residents near the gutters and other users were invited to no longer use the gutters to deposit garbage and plastic bags.
