Hawassa: Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed has visited a solar cells facility at the Hawassa Industrial Park.
According to Ethiopian News Agency, Prime Minister Abiy shared insights on his social media platform about the facility, emphasizing its quality, capacity, and automation. He noted that the operation is poised to play a significant role in manufacturing exports.
The Prime Minister reflected on a previous visit to the Vietnam Toyo Solar site, where discussions with the President led to the promise of solar panel production. He expressed satisfaction that the production of solar cells is now underway at the Hawassa Industry Park.
While two additional facilities are under construction, the Prime Minister reviewed the operational plant. He remarked that this development aligns with the investment strategy aimed at value-added projects that meet established targets and policies, highlighting the investments as transformative.
