Addis ababa: Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed has appointed Addisu Arega as Ethiopia’s new Minister of Agriculture. The appointment comes as a significant move in the Ethiopian government’s efforts to enhance the agricultural sector.
According to Ethiopian News Agency, Addisu Arega previously served as the Oromia regional state Rural Cluster Coordinator with the rank of deputy chief administrator. His experience in regional administration is expected to contribute to his new role in the federal government, where he will be responsible for overseeing and implementing agricultural policies nationwide.
