THE ELECTORAL COMMISSION: General Election – 26th March 2022: Delivery of Voting Documents by Police Officers

The Electoral Commission notifies those persons whose name appears in the Electoral Register published on 25th February 2022, subject to additions, deletions and corrections ordered by the Revising Officer, that voting documents will be delivered by the police daily from Monday 28th February until Friday 11th March, 2022, between 8.00 a.m. and 1.00 p.m. and 3.00 p.m. and 9.00 p.m.

The Electoral Commission notifies that voting documents shall be delivered only at the address where the voter is registered. This means that it is necessary that at the place of residence there shall be a responsible adult person over 16 years of age who is a relative, and/or resides or works thereat to receive and to sign for the voting document/s.

The electoral law permits political party representatives to accompany the police officer during the delivery. These representatives are supplied with an authorisation tag issued by the Electoral Commission, to be shown on demand.

The voting document should be kept in a safe place, as nobody will be allowed to vote without it on polling day.
