The Treasury announces that due to the strong demand for the Malta Government Stocks from retail investors in the MGS issuance of October 2022, the offer was closed on Wednesday, 12th October 2022 at 2:30pm. The amount of subscriptions from retail investors was just below €300 million. The Treasury shall exercise its oversubscription option up to a maximum of €100 million such that the aggregate amount to be allocated will be increased up to a maximum amount of €300 million.
In this regard, the auction which was scheduled to be held at noon on Friday 14th October 2022 is being cancelled as no material volume is left available for allocation under the auction/bid system. All the applications submitted by the members of the public which are in compliance with the terms of the Offering Circular and the General Prospectus will be accepted in full.
The Treasury will be launching another MGS issuance in mid-November 2022.
