The Accountant General is hereby announcing the issue of one hundred fifty-million-euro (€150,000,000) Malta Government Stocks in any one or any combination of the following three stocks:
(i) 2.60% Malta Government Stock 2028 (V);
(ii) 2.90% Malta Government Stock 2032 (VI); and
(iii) 3.40% Malta Government Stock 2042 (I).
The sum of money to be raised may be increased by an additional €100,000,000 in the event of an oversubscription.
Members of the public interested in investing may apply for an amount up to a maximum of One Hundred Thousand Euro (€100,000) per person in each of the three stocks on offer. Application forms can be made by one person or jointly with other persons. The applications for members of the public open from Monday 11th July 2022 at 8.30 a.m. and close at 2.30 p.m. on Wednesday 13th July 2022, or earlier at the discretion of the Accountant General.
Applications from wholesale investors in the form of sealed bids (auction) open on Friday 15th July 2022 at 8.30 a.m. and close at 12.00 p.m. (noon) (CET) of the same day, or earlier at the discretion of the Accountant General.
The price of each Stock listed at (i), (ii) and (iii) above offered for subscription by members of the public, shall be established on Thursday 7th July 2022. The Accountant General shall be announcing the price for each stock and these shall be published in the local newspapers as well as through a press release by the Department of Information (DOI).
The allotment results of each stock to applicants whose applications are in the form of sealed bids (auction) will be determined and announced two hours after the closing time of the auction.
Application forms may be obtained from and lodged at all members of the Malta Stock Exchange and other authorised Investment Service Providers. Application forms may also be downloaded from the Treasury’s website www.treasury.gov.mt with effect from Friday 8th July 2022.
