THE MINISTRY FOR FINANCE AND EMPLOYMENT Results and allocation of the Malta Government Stock Issue – February 2023

The Treasury Department announces the results of the Malta Government Stock issue of February 2023. The Treasury received a total nominal amount of just below €416 million from both retail and wholesale investors against the authorised sum on issue of €200 million subject to an over-allotment option for an additional amount of up to a maximum of €150 million.

Subscriptions by Retail Investors

By the closing date at 2.30 p.m. on Wednesday 22nd February 2023, the total value of applications received from retail investors in the two Malta Government Stocks amounted to just below a nominal value of €179.5 million. These applications which were made under the non-competitive part of the issuance at pre-announced fixed price will be accepted in full.

The details of allotment in each stock will be published through a Press Release and uploaded on the Treasury’s website immediately after the vetting of applications for compliance with the terms of the General Prospectus and the Offering Cicular is completed.

The Treasury shall exercise the right to increase the authorised sum on issue of €200 million by an additional amount of up to €150 million such that the aggregate amount to be allocated will be increased up to a maximum of €350 million.

To this effect, the Treasury shall allocate the bids received at the auction as follows:

By the closing date at noon on Friday 24th February 2023, the Treasury received 49 bids from wholesale investors in the two stocks having a total nominal value of Euro 236.50 million which have been allocated as follows:
