The premium private jet operator Flexjet has made a new fleet addition, registering its first Gulfstream G650 in Europe in Malta, reflecting the company’s continuing operational growth in our country.
This was announced by Minister for Transport, Infrastructure and Capital Projects Aaron Farrugia following the new fleet arrival, accompanied by Transport Malta (TM) CEO Brigadier Jeffrey Curmi, Civil Aviation Directorate (CAD) Director General Captain Charles Pace, Flexjet CEO Mike Silvestro and European Managing Director Marine Eugène.
“We are seeing more companies continue to choose Malta to register their aircraft as we are continuing to support investors. As a result, this important sector is strengthening our economy, creating new initiatives and generating opportunities. Although we are already in a strong position with our 9H register, the government is committed to continue promoting Malta and growing this industry. This means that Malta will continue to establish itself as the jurisdiction of choice in the aviation sector,” Minister Farrugia stated.
Since securing its Maltese Air Operator Certificate in July 2021, Flexjet has expanded its team and infrastructure in Malta, including moving its Operational Centre to new, larger offices in Ta’ Xbiex. This adds to its European sales office in London’s Mayfair; Tactical Control Centre at Farnborough Airport; and aircraft maintenance facility based in Milan, Italy.
“Our ultra-long-range programme is well-established in the U.S., and we are delighted to welcome our first Gulfstream G650 into our European fleet – a significant investment that is a key milestone in our ambitious expansion plans,” said Marine Eugène, Flexjet European Managing Director.

Registering our first European Gulfstream G650 in Malta demonstrates how pivotal this location is to our future growth.
