Virtue Means Sharing What You Have, Not Giving Away Surplus, Says Premier on Virtue Day

Virtue cannot be measured as it is an act of generosity that requires giving freely, not from what we have in abundance but sharing what we have, Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed said.

The premier made the remark to volunteer youth who came from different parts of the country.

The youth had discussion about the role of youth in the nation’s development with high-level government officials yesterday.

Today, the youth celebrated Virtue Day at the Friendship Square.

On the occasion, Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed said virtue is boundless act that requires no persuasion.

Stating that goodness is giving freely from the limitless source of kindness, he said that this is a seed that will bear fruit in the future.

The youth should, therefore, strengthen volunteering, the premier stressed.

Urging the youth to ignore evil ideas reflected by some people, he called on them to work together for the prosperity of Ethiopia.

Ethiopia shall continue to overcome the challenges it faces through the cooperation of its citizens, he affirmed, adding that no earthly power can stop us from realizing Ethiopia’s transition.
